Alumina ceramic vial set is ideal for blending powders and mixing emulsions. Use with clamp 04576-69 for slurry grinding to prevent leakage and damage to the vial.

Since alumina is fragile, extreme care must be taken to prevent breakage. Starting sample size should be 1/4". Sample quantity should be between 5 and 15 g of a material that can reasonably be expected to be ground by ceramic. Do not use more than one 1/2" diameter grinding ball.

Vial is 2 ¼ in.diameter x 2 ¾ in. long (5.7 cm x 7.0 cm). Set includes high purity 99.5% alumina ceramic grinding vial body, two slip-on alumina ceramic caps, one ½ in. (12.7 mm) alumina ceramic ball, and eight corprene gaskets.
